K of C Fund Raising:

The Ohio State Council 2008 Football Sweepstakes Program is under way. Our council has tickets available at $10 each. The program runs  for the last 10 weeks of the season. A total of $1,000 in cash prizes are awarded weekly. The final ticket turn-in is October 24, so see me at  our next council meeting to buy your tickets.

Our fundraiser as food runners is well under way at the Cincinnati Bengals home games. Our council and All Saints Assembly are  working together at all 10 home games this year with three games down and seven to go. Please check your schedule for your date. We  will carpool to the stadium from St. George Church leaving at 8:30am. As you already know, the Bengals are 0-5 and will have a tough  road ahead. Can they turn this losing streak around? You bet they can!  Go Bengals!

Our council once again worked the Cattlemen’s Beef Booth at the Brown County Fair on Friday, September 26th.  The weather was  unusually warm for this time of year, and the fair experienced a record turnout. This is one of our biggest fundraisers for the year, and it  gives us a chance to work side by side with the youth. We started at 9am and finished just after 11pm for a very long day! Thanks to  Brother Knight Mike Cales for calling volunteers to help “man” the booth. Also thanks to all forty plus volunteers who did their part  working at the beef booth with some working a double shift. Thanks to everyone, as this was truly a team effort!
